Sixth racket of the world, Kazakhstani tennis player Elena Rybakina attended the race of the 24th and final stage of the 2024 Formula 1 season – the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Sports.kz reports with reference to Championat.com.
The victory was won by the British driver of the McLaren team Lando Norris.
The 2022 Wimbledon champion was a guest of the Red Bull team.
In 2024, Elena Rybakina took three titles at the WTA level (Brisbane, Abu Dhabi, Stuttgart, all WTA 500 categories), and played in the final matches two more times. Rybakina’s best result at the Grand Slam tournaments was reaching the semi-finals of Wimbledon. At the WTA 2024 Final Tournament, Elena did not make it out of the group, but managed to beat the world number one, Belarusian Arina Sabalenka.
