The Association of Pharmacists of Ukraine appealed to the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, Danylo Hetmantsev, with a warning about the catastrophic consequences of the amendments to draft law No. 11493 “On Medicines”.
“The restrictions proposed to be included in the draft law will destroy the stability of the market, will lead to the bankruptcy of pharmacies and suppliers, which will ultimately cause a shortage of medicines and increase the price of medicines for consumers,” the appeal emphasized.
Pharmacists warn that the adoption of such initiatives will jeopardize the functioning of the pharmacy network throughout the country, especially in rural and frontline areas.
