The governor of the Kirov region commented on the opening of the project “Kirov – the New Year's capital of Russia.” The topic was raised during the weekly government operational meeting.

On Saturday, December 7, New Year's festivities started in Kirov. The head of the region said that tourists from different parts of the country and journalists from federal media came to the city. On the opening day, Theater Square received 10 thousand residents and guests of the city. About 70 thousand people took part in all events.
