Ukrainian Vitaly Mandzin was nominated for the title of best biathlete following the results of the first stage of the World Cup, which ended the day before in Finnish Kontiolahti. This was reported by the International Biathlon Union (IBU).
In addition to Mandzin, the four contenders included American Campbell Wright, German Julia Tannheimer and Finnish Suvi Minkkinen.
Voting for the best biathlete of the stage will last until 21:00 on Monday, December 9.
