Longest kiss in the world: The Guinness Book of Records canceled the attempt due to a terrible reason

The longest kiss in history lasted 58 hours and 35 minutes.

The Guinness Book of World Records had to cancel the longest continuous kiss attempt for a terrible reason.

This is stated on the official website.

In 2013, the Thai couple Ekkachai and Laksana Thiranaratha achieved the longest kiss in history – 58 hours and 35 minutes.

This kiss was part of a super kiss event organized by Ripley's Believe It or Not! in Pattaya, Thailand, which began on February 12 and ended two days later on Valentine's Day.

There were nine pairs that year, four of whom broke the previous record of 50 hours 25 minutes set the year before.

The Thiranarath couple had previously set the record in 2011 and received approximately $2,700 and two diamond rings for the win.
