Meteorological winter has arrived in Kyiv – UNIAN

Meteorological winter visited Kyiv. The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center reports this.
According to climatologists, a stable transition of the average daily temperature through 0°C towards a decrease occurred in Kyiv on November 24. This indicates the beginning of meteorological winter in the capital.
As noted, this year winter came to the capital five days earlier than the climate norm.
The earliest winter came to Kyiv was on October 20 in 1920, and the latest was on December 29 in 2015. In 2019-2020, meteorological winter never came.
Severe frosts are not expected in Ukraine in December. This was stated by the press secretary of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center Natalya Ptukha.
