The increase in the tariff for the transmission of electricity, proposed by the National Commission for Regulation in the Energy and Utilities Sector, will lead to a significant increase in the costs of producers of ferroalloys, so the Ukrainian Association of Producers of Ferroalloys and other Electrometallurgical Products opposed the initiative of the National Energy Regulatory Commission of Ukraine, says the letter of UkrFa to the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, NKREKP, “Ukrenergo” of the Ministry of Energy and other specialized structures.
On November 13, the NCRECP adopted a draft resolution, which foresees a 26% increase in the tariff for electricity transmission services from 2025, from UAH 528.57 to UAH 665.26/MW*h.
If this draft tariff is approved, the annual costs of Ukrainian metallurgists will increase by more than UAH 1.6 billion, the association's letter says.
