He was born in the city of Hilindar, which is now part of Bulgaria. Daniel was known for his spiritual strength and devotion to God. He founded a monastery on Mount Ai-Petri in Constantinople, where he spent most of his life. Daniel was known for his miraculous works and spiritual wisdom, which attracted many followers. He died in 1492 and was canonized by the Orthodox Church.
