Carla Lewis, from Liverpool, has suffered tremendously from chronic pain that started in her teenage years and has been with her for most of her life. For more than twenty years, doctors have bounced her from one specialist to another, underestimating her symptoms and refusing to take her complaints seriously, causing her to doubt her desire to live.
According to the Daily Star, Carla suffered from unbearable pain so much that she questioned her desire to continue living. Doctors, instead of helping, dismissed her symptoms, declaring them “God's punishment”, which only worsened the situation.
