Ukrzaliznytsia is trying to once again increase the tariff for freight transportation by 40%
The next increase will make the transportation tariff more than double.
The Supervisory Board of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” proposes to increase the tariff for freight transportation by 37%. The corresponding decision was submitted for consideration to the Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine.
The UZ message does not contain information that since the beginning of the year the company has received almost 2 billion hryvnia in profit. But they explained that indexation is necessary because since the last revision of tariffs for freight transportation, prices for electricity, diesel, and spare parts for diesel and electric locomotives have increased.
