Scientists lowered the camera to the bottom and saw a Pacific polar shark

They explored the untouched underwater world.

During an expedition to the Tonga Trough in the Pacific Ocean, scientists lowered a camera there and showed what was happening at the bottom.

LADbible writes about it.

So, scientists managed to get footage of a huge Pacific polar shark that swam up to the camera and bit it a little. This creature is considered one of the most mysterious deep-sea creatures on the planet.

Dr. Jessica Kolbusch explained that the footage was taken at a depth of 1,400 meters, somewhere west of the Tonga Trench.

She said that the Pacific polar shark can reach 4.4 meters in length, although the largest of them can be over seven meters long, which is quite massive.

As for this magnificent yet somewhat terrifying creature of the deep blue sea, the expert explained that this shark was a female.
