The United States gave Ukraine a loan of 20 billion, which will be covered with Russian money – UNIAN
The money is allocated within the framework of the Group of Seven agreements reached in the summer and confirmed in October.
Ukraine will receive a $20 billion loan from the United States, which will be repaid using proceeds from frozen Russian assets. This was reported by the US Department of the Treasury.
It is noted that the money is allocated as part of the G7 Extraordinary Revenue Acceleration (ERA) initiative, which provides assistance to Ukraine totaling $50 billion. In addition to the United States, EU countries and Japan make their contributions.
“These funds, paid for through windfalls generated by Russia's own immobilized assets, will provide critical support to Ukraine as it defends its country against an unprovoked war of aggression,” Treasury Secretary Janet L… said.
