Use ginger helps to quickly reduce blood sugar levels, nutritionist Olga Korableva told RIA Novosti, Sports.kz reports.
According to her, the product, which contains a lot of protein and fiber, also softens colds, helps with bloating, reduces nausea and alleviates toxicosis during pregnancy.
The calorie content of ginger is only 80 calories per 100 grams. Most of all, it contains copper (22 percent of the daily value) and potassium (16 percent), the specialist notes.
“Lack of potassium leads to depression, increased heart rate, weakness, and frequent attacks of nausea. Copper, together with iron, forms red blood cells, hair and skin pigments. When there is not enough copper, the skin ages earlier and wrinkles appear,” said Olga Korableva.
