The Canadian Parliament passed a new aid package to Ukraine worth hundreds of millions of dollars.
Since February 2022, Canada has provided $5.4 billion to Ukraine, the highest per capita amount in the world.
The Canadian Parliament approved the allocation of 764 million Canadian dollars (about 587 million US dollars) for military assistance to Ukraine.
According to Ukrinform, these funds are part of a larger budget document, the approval of which will allow the government to spend an additional 21 billion Canadian dollars on various purposes, in particular, national defense.
According to Canadian Defense Minister Bill Blair, the money will be used for “ammunition, training and other equipment that the Ukrainians desperately need to win.”
