DTEK explained why the blackout was canceled in the west of Ukraine, but not in other regions. This affects both the production of electricity and the integrity of power grids.

As the company noted, the graphs appear when there is not enough electricity. This can happen for two reasons:

  • war-damaged power plants cannot produce enough electricity;
  • there is electricity, but it cannot be transmitted through drone-broken grids.

“The integrity of power grids is as important as the production of electricity. The Russians understand this and are trying to stop not only the generation, but also the transmission of electricity,” DTEK noted.
