In July of this year, a tragedy occurred in Kyiv on the cableway across the Dnipro River – the steel rope of the attraction broke, as a result of which a young man fell into the river and died. He came to the capital for the weekend. The details of who is to blame for what happened were revealed by the law enforcement officers.

According to the results of the investigation, it was established that the designer of the attraction made a number of mistakes, in particular, he used a rope that did not meet the technical requirements for such structures. This error led to its breaking. The director of the company that won the tender for the construction of the cable crossing approved this technical project, despite the inconsistency of the materials.
