Emergency services rescued Kyyanin in the mountains of Transcarpathia — Ukraine
The man was not prepared for the harsh weather conditions in the mountains, where the temperature reached 12 degrees below zero and he froze badly.
The Transcarpathian Emergency Service rescued a tourist from Kyiv who was trying to climb Petros in 12-degree frost. The man probably has frostbitten feet.
This was reported by the Main Department of the State Emergency Service in Zakarpattia Oblast.
A 37-year-old tourist went on a hike from the village of Yasinya and walked through the Shisa steppe. After spending the night, he intended to climb Petros, but bypassed the mountain and headed towards the Golovchesk valley.
“The man was not prepared for the harsh weather conditions in the mountains, where the temperature reached 12 degrees below zero. He was very cold. At first, rescuers from Yasin went to help, but due to the cold, the tourist decided to continue the journey.
