The newly elected president of the USA Donald Trump could potentially try to revise the $20 billion loan provided to Ukraine, or even lift sanctions from the Russian Federation.
The New York Times writes about this, analyzing the possible consequences of Trump's election victory for Ukraine and US international policy.
It is noted that Trump and his fellow party members are unlikely to support the extension of economic and military aid to Ukraine in the amounts provided by Joe Biden's administration. Meanwhile, Ukraine remains dependent on international aid, in particular to support its economy in wartime conditions.
