The procedure for registering a deferment is prescribed by law, and there are no discrepancies here.
A deferment from mobilization can be issued even if the military registration data has not been updated in a timely manner. This was stated by lawyer Marina Bekalo on the portal for legal advice.
She noted that the procedure for obtaining a deferment is clearly prescribed by the relevant government decree. The territorial acquisition center is obliged to accept an application for a deferment along with documents confirming the existence of grounds for it, and consider the application within 7 days. This period may be longer if it is necessary to clarify some information about the person liable for military service in other government bodies.
