A tomb with a family of coffins was discovered in Egypt

Archaeologists have made an incredible discovery of a Middle Kingdom tomb with several intact burials, including a “family of coffins”.

The tomb was excavated near Luxor, an area known for its significant ancient Egyptian monuments, temples and tombs, and contained 11 sealed burials. The find belongs to the Egyptian-American South Asasif Conservation Project, which is the first Middle Kingdom tomb discovered in the region. The Middle Kingdom is a period of ancient Egyptian civilization spanning approximately 2030-1650 BC.
