Biathlon – Iryna Shevchenko won bronze at the IBU Junior Cup – Sport
National team of Ukraine won the first medal of the international biathlon season-2024/25. Iryna Shevchenko became the bronze medalist of the starting stage of the IBU Junior Cup in Ridnau, Italy.
The Ukrainian won the award in the individual race, working flawlessly on all four firing lines, thanks to which she was able to finish in third place.
Our compatriot was overtaken by only two Germans – Charlotte Charlbronner and Alina Nussbiker, who took “gold” and “silver”, respectively.
“Bronze” Shevchenko is Ukraine's first medal in 5 years in individual women's races at the stages of the IBU Junior Cup.
Let's add that already on Friday, December 13, the second stage will begin in Hogfilzen, Austria Biathlon World Cup-2024/25. Women's and men's sprint races will be held on this day.
