Russia is ready to hold a New Year's exchange for prisoners


Prisoners in both countries will be able to receive parcels from home.

Russia and Ukraine agreed to exchange parcels for prisoners of war before the New Year.

This is reported by the Astra Telegram channel with reference to the statement of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tetyana Moskalkova.

According to her, as part of the agreement with Ukrainian ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets, prisoners in both countries will be given “parcels with notes, letters from home, children's drawings, and things” by the New Year.

Earlier, the Verkhovna Rada's Human Rights Commissioner, Dmytro Lubinets, spoke about a meeting with representatives of the International Red Cross, at which Moskalkova was present.
