Russian troops came from the northeast to the shores of the Kurakhiv Reservoir in Donetsk region. At the same time, the invaders are advancing towards it from the southwest from the side of Vugledar.
This was reported by BILD's open data analysis expert Julian Röpke.
According to him, precisely because of this, if the armed forces do not withdraw, there may be a threat of falling into the cauldron around the city of Kurakhove.
“Because Ukraine lacks reserves and a 'second' line of defense in the area, the Russian advance remains at about 2 km per day. This creates the threat of another cauldron. The Ukrainian army will likely avoid this threat with another large-scale retreat from about 20 settlements southeast of the village of Andriivka,” writes Ryopke.
