NBU predicts further growth of inflation in 2025 — Money


Inflation is likely to continue to rise in the coming months due to the impact of food factors, large budget expenditures, high rates of wage growth and energy shortages in the heating season.

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) predicts an acceleration of inflation in the coming months, but expects it to slow down in mid-2025.

This was stated by the head of the NBU, Andriy Pishnyi, during a briefing.

According to Pyshny, in November annual inflation increased to 11.2%. The main reason for this was restrictions on the supply of food due to this year's low harvests.

“It is expected that the impact of this factor on inflation should be leveled off next year with the arrival of the new harvest,” said the head of the NBU.
