North Korea fired several short-range ballistic missiles toward the East Sea on Tuesday, South Korea's military said, just hours before the US presidential election.
This is reported by Yonhap with reference to the South Korean military.
The Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) said it recorded the launches around 7:30 a.m. local time from the Sariwon district in the western province of North Hwanghae. The number of missiles is not specified, noting that the analysis is ongoing.
“As we step up our military's monitoring and vigilance in preparation for additional launches, we maintain full readiness while closely sharing North Korean ballistic missile data with US and Japanese authorities,” the text said…
