The completion of two power units of the Khmelnytsky NPP will strengthen Ukraine's energy independence and contribute to post-war reconstruction. This was stated by political scientist and director of the “Institute of World Politics” Yevhen Magda.
He emphasized the importance of nuclear energy and the need to increase energy production in Ukraine.
“After the massive Russian attacks on the Ukrainian energy sector, its nuclear component provides about 60% of all the country's electricity. We are all convinced of the victorious end of the war and successful post-war reconstruction. However, the reconstruction process will require a lot of energy, so electricity consumption from today's minimum must grow quickly and qualitatively “, Magda noted.
The expert also emphasized international support for nuclear projects.
