In November, the weather in Ukraine changes dramatically, real winter cold often comes, and this threatens drivers not only with troubles on the road, but also with other completely non-obvious problems.
The National Police warned about one of these problems.
The agency reminds that when the air temperature drops, it forces homeless animals to seek protection in very strange places. They often create shelters from the cold in vehicles that Ukrainians leave on the street.
Frightened animals try to hide not only from bad weather, but also from people, so drivers cannot always see them under the car. That's why the police urge you to knock on the hood loudly every time you're about to go somewhere. Such a loud sound should frighten the animal and help avoid death.
