VTB spoke about a new opportunity to pay for purchases abroad using QR

VTB has developed a payment solution that will allow bank clients to pay for purchases abroad using a QR code in VTB Online. The new functionality allows you to pay for purchases in foreign stores in the usual way: just point the QR code scanning camera in the application at the payment code in the receipt or on the terminal – payment will happen instantly. Payments are made in rubles with subsequent conversion into the national currency of the country where the purchase was made.

The technology and service have already been successfully tested in one of the neighboring countries and will be scaled up in neighboring countries in the first half of the year. In the second half of the year, the functionality will be available in other friendly countries near and far abroad.
