The NYT publication named the factors that will lead to the end of the war in Ukraine.

Whoever won the presidential election, war in Ukraine will probably end next year. Both Ukraine and Russia are running out of troops, and they are trying to recruit more young people to the front. This reality always meant that 2025 would be a year of negotiation.

Such a forecast was made by the columnist of the American newspaper The New York Times, Julian Barnes.

According to Barnes, Donald Trump's victory could speed up the beginning of peace talks, since during the campaign he promised to end the war even before the inauguration.
