A number of earthquakes were recorded on a huge fault line about 46 meters long, located in the Midwest in the United States.

According to the Daily Mail, this fault is called New Madrid and crosses Missouri, Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky and Illinois. From December 6 to December 11, the US Geological Survey recorded 7 earthquakes in Missouri and one in Tennessee. The largest were magnitudes 3 and 2.6, while others were around 2.

Scientists believe that this huge fault line could actually generate an earthquake of magnitude 7 or higher within the next 50 years. According to Missouri Department of Safety Emergency Management Coordinator Robbie Myers, this is now a possibility…
