A 37-year-old resident of the Bashtan district of the Mykolaiv region will be tried for the fact that he ran over his father while driving a Mercedes-Benz Vito while intoxicated.
The prosecutor's office of the Mykolayiv region reports this.
The investigation established that the accused, while driving the car, started driving in reverse without being convinced of the safety of the maneuver. As a result, he ran over his 67-year-old father, who was behind the car.
The victim died from his injuries in the intensive care unit of the hospital.
According to the results of the medical examination, the driver had 1.45 ppm of alcohol in his blood.
