Coffee prices – the cost of Arabica beans has broken an absolute record – UNIAN

Well-known producers of this aromatic drink have already announced that they will be forced to increase prices for their products.

On stock exchanges, prices for the world's most popular coffee variety, Arabica, have reached a historical high. Coffee lovers will see prices rise early next year.

According to the BBC, the price for March futures for Arabica beans set an absolute record in the entire history of trading – $3.34 per pound (about 0.45 kg) of beans. Arabica beans have risen in price by 80% in just a year.

As Vin Nguyen, head of Tuan Loc Commodities, told the publication, the companies tried not to increase the price for the end consumer, but now they will do so at the beginning of 2025.
