On the morning of Sunday, December 15, two Russian tankers Volgoneft 212 and Volgoneft-239 are sinking near the Kerch Strait. According to Russian media, the ships were broken in half.
As Astra writes, the tankers transported petroleum products, in particular fuel oil. As a result of the accident, it began to flow into the sea. Volgoneft 212 was the first to sink.
According to various sources, Volgoneft 212 has 13-14 crew members. The weight of transported fuel oil is 4300 tons. The powerful waves of the stormy sea broke its hull in half.
Subsequently, in the same area behind the tanker Volgoneft-212, another tanker, Volgoneft-239, sank. Fuel oil flows into the sea.
