The oldest Christian amulet — Science and IT — was found in Germany

In Germany, a silver amulet of the III century was found, which is considered the oldest evidence of Christianity north of the Alps. Inside the amulet, found in an ancient burial, was a thin scroll with an inscription in Latin, unique to the time.
The discovery could change the way Christianity was practiced in the Roman Empire, Live Science reports.
The amulet, measuring only 3.5 cm, was found six years ago in a grave near Frankfurt, where the remains of a person who lived between 230 and 270 AD were buried. Archaeologists from the Leibniz Center for Archeology in Mainz spent years restoring and analyzing the find, and only now announced the…
