The peace process under Trump will be complicated by differences with Russia
It will be difficult for the newly elected US President Donald Trump to achieve peace in Ukraine, because deep “fundamental differences” remain between Russia and Ukraine, which make compromise impossible.
This opinion was expressed by the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of the country, Dmytro Kuleba, in a comment to The Times, writes UNIAN.
“In my opinion, there will be no quick negotiations,” Kuleba said.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is demanding NATO membership for the sake of peace, but Kuleba believes the alliance can only offer it in 10-20 years, leaving Ukraine vulnerable to Russian attacks.
