Food prices – vegetables are rapidly becoming more expensive in Ukraine – UNIAN
Only eggplant prices have doubled.
Vegetables in Ukraine continue to rise in price. In particular, potato prices have resumed rising.
Analysts of the EastFruit project noted that the popular vegetable is sold for 22-28 hryvnia per kilogram, although a week earlier the vegetable was sold for 20-25. At the same time, prices for white cabbage and carrots continued to rise. Cabbage jumped from 24-27 to 25-30 hryvnia per kilogram in a week, and the price range expanded to 20-30 hryvnia, although a week earlier the vegetable was sold at 22-24.
Onions were sold more expensive than a week earlier – the upper price limit rose from 15 to 16 hryvnia. Against the backdrop of low demand and growing imports, selling prices for cucumbers began to decline again – from 90-95 to 80-85 hryvnia per kilogram.
