As you know, the Iran-linked Houthi militants have been attacking international shipping near Yemen since last November as a sign of solidarity with the Palestinians in Israel's war with Hamas.
The attacks prompted retaliatory strikes from the United States and Great Britain. It has also disrupted global trade as shipowners divert them from the Red Sea and Suez Canal to a longer route around the southern tip of Africa.
