You will be surprised, but centenarians do not eat fast food, but do not deny themselves sweets.
Living to 100 years is a relatively rare occurrence. According to Business Insider, life expectancy is influenced by genes, environment and luck, but lifestyle choices also matter.
Many of the centenarians reported by the publication eat a lot of fresh, whole foods and not a lot of meat.
For example, 102-year-old Deborah Szekely has been a pescetarian all her life. She also grows her own vegetables on a ranch in Mexico.
