The Zorawar light tank is planned to enter service in 2027.
In the highlands of Ladakh near the border with China, the new Indian light tank Zorawar was tested. It turned out to be more effective in such terrain compared to the Russian T-72 and T-90, writes Hindustan Times.
The publication noted that Zorawar was tested at an altitude of more than 4200 meters. The Indian Ministry of Defense emphasized that the tank turned out to be reliable and accurate.
This is the second stage of testing in extreme conditions for the newest Indian tank, the publication added. Several more tests will be carried out ahead and, if successful, the equipment will be handed over to the military for final tests.
