In Colombia, a police officer died after a Christmas tree fell during the holiday lights switch-on.

Kevin Andres Navas worked at the Christmas event. A law enforcement officer was taken to hospital in critical condition after being crushed. Unfortunately, the 19-year-old man did not survive the accident due to the severity of his injuries.

Dozens of people converged and gathered together to help lift the tree from the ground. It turned out to be extremely difficult to move the 30-meter-high metal structure due to its size.

At the event on the occasion of switching on the Christmas lights, screams and shouts were heard, which caused terror in the people who were present at the celebration. For a moment the ornament was lifted, and nothing but darkness was visible beneath it.
