Trump news – the US President will have to exclude Ukraine from negotiations to end the war – UNIAN

Newly elected US President Donald Trump has repeatedly stated that he intends to end the war in Ukraine. Nevertheless, he will have to decide at what stage of the conflict resolution it is necessary to involve Kyiv in this process.

Anatole Lieven, director of the Eurasia program at the Quincy Institute for Responsible Government, wrote about this in his column for Foreign Policy.

He is confident that Ukraine, Russia and the United States will participate in possible ceasefire negotiations. Nevertheless, he believes that there is no need to involve Kyiv in the initial stage of conflict resolution.
