The development of nuclear and distributed generation is a priority of Ukraine, People's Deputy
Ukraine should simultaneously develop both nuclear and distributed generation, without making a choice between them. This is the key to a stable energy system that can meet both modern challenges and the needs of post-war reconstruction. People's deputy Serhii Nagornyak voiced this position, calling on the Verkhovna Rada to support the draft law on the completion of the 3rd and 4th power units of the Khmelnytsky NPP.
According to the deputy, discussions about the future of Ukraine's energy system boil down to different approaches: some politicians focus on distributed generation, including mobile gas stations, to increase resistance to attacks. However, this does not exclude the need for nuclear energy, which provides basic generation.
