The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine reacted to the high-profile statement of the President of Slovakia about “the need for territorial concessions” from Ukraine to end the war. According to the spokesman of the department, Heorhiy Tykhi, this will not bring peace.
The spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Heorhii Tyhiy, wrote about this on the social network X (Twitter).
“The last time Slovak land was handed over to an aggressor – in the name of peace – it did not end well and did not bring peace to Slovaks or other peoples,” he emphasized.
As a reminder, Slovakia will reduce support for Ukrainian refugees from 2025. The new rules will limit stays in asylum centers and housing payments to 60 days.
