Operation in the Kursk region: the Russian army is advancing
The Armed Forces are counterattacking.
The troops of the Russian Federation advanced in the main Ukrainian front in Kursk region amid fighting in the area on December 16.
This is stated in a new report by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
Geolocation footage for December 15 shows that Russian troops have recently advanced in the fields southwest of Nechayev (northeast of Suzhi). In addition, Russian forces probably captured Nechaev and Nizhnya Parova. One so-called mil blogger claimed that Russian troops had also advanced near Guevo and 1.5 km to the north of the Russian River. However, ISW did not find confirmation of these claims.
The Russian army also continued offensive operations east of Kremyany, south of Novoivanivka, northwest of Plekhovy in the direction of Kurylivka and near Cherkasy Konopelka.
