World's shortest woman Jyoti Amge has set a new record
At the age of 31, Jyoti Amge won another title.
The shortest woman in the world celebrated her birthday. On December 16, Jyoti Amge turned 31 and set a new world record.
This is reported by the Guinness Book of Records.
It has been officially confirmed that Jyoti has the smallest hands among the female representatives of the planet. Her left hand measures 7.1 cm and her right hand measures 7.2 cm. This is almost half the height of a Coca-Cola can (12.2 cm) and smaller than the diameter of a baseball (7.4 cm).
Things like a standard iPhone or a cup look gigantic in Amge's hands.
But her hands are actually bigger than Afshin Ghaderzadeh (Iran), the shortest man in the worldwho is 65.24 cm taller than Jyoti. The length of Afshin's left hand is 6.7 cm, and his right hand is 6.4 cm.
