Demographer Oleksandr Gladun believes that if the war continues for another three years, the population in Ukraine will decrease sharply.
He said this in an interview with TSN.ua.
The demographer noted that if the war continues for another three years, the demography will deteriorate sharply due to losses at the front and shelling of Ukraine.
“And let's not forget that we have a relatively old population structure – people have many chronic diseases and they will worsen, and this will also increase the mortality rate in the country. Add to this psychological stress, which significantly worsens the physical condition of people, and some citizens cannot receive adequate treatment for various reasons.
