Garbage trucks began to be weighed in the Kirov region on December 17

An information system for waste accounting has been introduced in dozens of Russian regions. TASS writes about the participation of the Kirov region in the program with reference to the press service of the Russian Environmental Operator.

In 55 constituent entities of the Russian Federation, there is a system in place in which garbage trucks are weighed before being sent to the territory of a municipal solid waste (MSW) enterprise. Information from the scales is sent to the accounting system, which records the volume of waste brought for processing. This mechanism makes it possible to identify environmental risks and problems during the disposal of MSW.

It is noted that the Kirov region (along with the Smolensk, Samara, Kaliningrad and Amur regions) is among the leaders in entering data on the weight control of garbage trucks.
