The Swiss Federal Court made a new statement regarding Kamila Valieva – Figure skating

Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva filed a second appeal to Federal Supreme Court of Switzerland in the case of violating anti-doping rules, the press service of the court told Interfax, Sports.kz reports.

“We confirm that an appeal against the decision of the Court of Arbitration for Sport of January 29, 2024 has been filed with the Federal Supreme Court of Switzerland,” the court’s press service said on Tuesday.

They noted that the court does not provide information about ongoing proceedings.

In late January, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne suspended Valieva for four years, effective December 25, 2021, for violating anti-doping rules. The disqualification will end in December 2025. Because of the Valieva case, the team…
