According to the Law of Ukraine “On the organization of labor relations under martial law” still only Saturdays and Sundays remain official public holidays.

Because Christmas (December 25, 2024) and New Year's Eve (the night before January 1, 2025) fall on a Wednesday, this means that no official extra days off should be expected. Tuesday, December 31, 2024 will also be a working day.

However, it should be noted that employers can provide their employees with additional days off at their own expense or reduce working hours on pre-holiday days.

Also, this year, the practice of moving the day off to the first working day, if the holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, will no longer apply.
