Benefits for electric cars – the Rada denied the return of duties and VAT on electric cars from January 1 – UNIAN

The Verkhovna Rada denied information about the return of duties and VAT on the import of electric vehicles from abroad from January 1, 2025, which appeared in some media the day before. This was stated by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, Daniil Getmantsev, in his Telegram channel.
“There is something going on about benefits for electric cars, which seem to take off from January 1, 2025. No, the benefits are valid until January 1, 2026. And then, yes, they will stop,” he wrote.
Earlier, the head of the Institute for Automotive Market Research, Stanislav Buchatsky, said that it is the price that contributes to the fact that Ukrainians are so actively buying electric cars.
